The Back Porch Guide to the Research Paper is a college-level workbook that is designed to be used in any course that requires a research paper.1 It has a simple, straightforward approach that is easily accessible for students. The workbook is supplemented with on-line references and resources.

Because of the type of Creative Commons License2 under which the Back Porch Guide to the Research Paper has been released, students will be able to acquire the workbook for free.3 Furthermore, faculty members may modify the workbook to better fit their needs before making it available to their students.

Please note that although the contents of the Back Porch Guide to the Research Paper have been released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Attribution 3.0 License, the contents on my websites have not. 3Course Packs

To sell the Back Porch Guide to the Research Paper as a course pack is not accetable under the Creative Commons license under which the book has been released. However, I will consider individual requests to have the workbook sold as a course pack. To obtain permission, please send me an e-mail in which you let me know the proposed cost of the course pack, the classes in which it will be used, whether copies will be produced in color or black and white, and why it is better for your students to have a course pack rather than download the workbook on-line. Because I can imagine several situations in which course packs would be beneficial, I will be favorably inclined to consider such requests.

Permissions

I will maintain a list of faculty members who have permission to sell the workbook as a course pack.
